Field of Honor-Field of Heroes
Be a part of Jackson Township's first annual Field of Honor/Field of Heroes.

On Memorial Day weekend, May 25-28, 2012, the corner of Fulton and Wales, at the Jackson Township Safety Center, will become a spectacular display of red, white and blue with as many as 1,000 American flags flying row upon row to honor the heroes in our lives.

Sealed bids for Jackson Township Recycling Station Addition Project will be received at the Office of the Board of Trustees of Jackson Township, Stark County, Ohio, 5735 Wales Ave. NW, Massillon, Ohio 44646 until 4:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, June 12, 2012. Bids will be publicly opened and read on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 5:15 p.m., unless extended by written notice of the change shall be given to all persons who have received or requested the specification no later than 72 hours prior to the date fixed for such opening.

Resident Survey Results for Residential Waste Collection Services

In the spring newsletter we asked the residents for their opinion on contracting waste collection services with a single waste collection agency. Of the 21,650 newsletter that were mailed we heard from 188 residents. With less than 1 percent of interest from the residents, the Trustees do not intend to pursue this option.  Click Read More > to see the results.

The Jackson Township North Park will be buzzing with farmers and vendors this summer.  The Jackson Township Park Department will be hosting a weekly Farmers Market on Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. beginning June 14 through September 27.  We make healthy things happen!

Hunter's Safety Education Course
This educational workshop is designed to provide hunters with a clear understanding of firearms, ammunition, gun handling, archery, hunter responsibilities, outdoor safety, wildlife management and conservation, and other related information.  The course will be offered September 20 - 22, 2012.

This is a FREE program, although registration is required.  Space is limited, so register early!
